Timon, Maranhão

Timon is a Brazilian municipality in the State of Maranhão. The population is 164,869 (2015) and the total area is 1765 km2.[1]

Located at 5°5′38″S 42°50′13″W / 5.09389°S 42.83694°W / -5.09389; -42.83694.

It is located on the Parnaíba river which forms a natural border with the neighboring city of Teresina, capital of the Piauí state.
