Thomas Gregory (born 1976) swam the English Channel in 1988 at the age of 11 years 330 days and as of 2018 holds the record as the youngest person to have done so.[1]

His book A Boy in the Water (2018, Penguin, ISBN 9780241354124) was broadcast as BBC Radio 4's Book of the Week in August 2018.[2]
