Tom McArthur is a British linguist, and editor of English Today.[1][2] He compiled the Longman Lexicon of Contemporary English[3] as the first thematic monolingual learner's dictionary, complementing the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English by bringing together sets of words with related meanings,[4] and later published an English Language title in the Oxford Companions series.[5] He has also published paperbacks on the Bhagavad Gita.[6][7]
