Tommaso Valletti

Tommaso M. Valletti is Professor of Economics at Imperial College Business School,[1] and also Professor of Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy). He is a Fellow of CEPR. He was a Joint Academic Director of the Brussels-based Centre for Regulation in Europe (www.cerre.eu).

In the period 2010-2013 he held the chair in “Innovation and Regulation of Digital Services” at Telecom ParisTech and Ecole Polytechnique in Paris.[2] The chair was created by France Telecom/Orange in 2007 and the first holder (2007–2010) of this Visiting Professorship was Professor Paul A. David. His successor (2013-2016) was Professor Frank Verboven of KU Leuven.

Since September 2016 he is the Chief Competition Economist of the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition in Brussels.[3]
