Travel Counsellors Ltd. is an independent travel company headquartered in Manchester, England. It was founded in 1994 by travel entrepreneur David Speakman and operates in 7 countries around the world.

The company specialises in bespoke holidays and business travel, and has over 1,600 travel agents globally, running their own home-based franchise,[1] in the United Kingdom, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Australia and the UAE.[2]

Travel Counsellors is an independent home-based travel company with turnover at the end of its last financial year (Oct 31 2015) of £166 million – up 22% year on year. Travel Counsellors has announced a record month of sales for January, with the value of its holiday bookings topping £48 million for the first time ever. [3]

In October 2014 Steve Byrne led a management buyout of the company, backed by Equistone Partners Europe.[4]

In 2015 the company announced it was moving headquarters from Bolton to Manchester.[5]
