Tulsi Gowda

Tulsi Gowda environmentalist from Honnali village, Ankola taluk in Karnataka state. She has planted 100,000 saplings and looks after the nurseries of the Forest department. Though she is an illiterate, she has made immense contributions towards preserving the environment. Her work has been honoured by the government and various organisations.[1][2][3]
