United States Attorney for the District of Indiana

The US Attorney for the District of Indiana was the legal representative of the US, who prosecuted criminal cases, and acted for the Federal Government both defending and prosecuting civil cases. The District of Indiana was created on 3 March 3, 1817 and was the longest established district, at 111 years. It was divided into the Northern District of Indiana and the Southern District of Indiana on 21 April 1928.
