Uki, Kumamoto
Uki (宇城市, Uki-shi) is a city in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.
As of April 30, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 62,678, with 22,693 households and a population density of 332.40 persons per km². The total area is 188.56 km².
The modern city of Uki was established on January 15, 2005, as a result of the merger between the towns of Misumi and Shiranuhi (both from Uto District), and the towns of Matsubase, Ogawa and Toyono (all from Shimomashiki District).
