The Ummat (Urdu: روزنامہ امت) is an Urdu-language newspaper published in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[1] The Daily Ummat has been published by Mr Rafique Afghan, a working journalist of Pakistan, for the last 17 years. Mr. Rafique Afghan is known for his brave journalism.[citation needed] The same group also publishes the Weekly Takbeer and the Monthly Ghazi. The chief editor of the Daily Ummat is Rafiq Afghan. The Ummat is known for its independent and brave reporting specially about the local issues of Karachi.[citation needed] The Daily Ummat has eight pages on weekdays and Saturday but twelve pages on Sunday.
