As for personal interests, James enjoys fitness, art, reading, socializing, and great restaurants. He is an avid fitness participant since 1985 and was formerly certified via the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer. He regularly visits art museums in Manhattan and in his travels, with favorites being The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. For reading, he is a fan of literature (Jane Austen, David Foster Wallace, Thomas Pynchon, Samuel Beckett), science fiction, and systems-focused non-fiction (chaos, complexity, systems thinking, mathematics).
