Suokkiennätykset[edit]

According to the Finnish harness racing bylaws, only a heat-winning time may be an official Finnish record. Official Finnhorse records do not exists; the records are for coldblood trotters, as all "Finnhorse" heats actually are open for all coldbloods. However, due to the fact no other coldblood trotters are bred and raced in Finland, the official coldblood records de facto are the official Finnhorse records. Thus it is possible that a Finnhorse, reaching a new Finnhorse speed record, but losing the heat to a horse of another breed (mainly a Scandinavian trotter), is not officially the holder of a new record. Due to such circumstances, the official Finnish record is still 1:19.9aly by Viesker even while the fastest known Finnhorse is the stallion Sipori with his time of 1:19.4aly.
