This lose was humbling (but profitable if you took the over... so bitter sweet). After reading so much stuff ([http://www.sportsline.com/columns/story/11030696 like this]) in the papers and online, I actually started to believe our own press. To the teams credit, they haven't been buying into this crap. |

Now the lose isn't totally on Eli's shoulders. We couldn't touch Anderson, our linebackers played EXTREMELY poor and had some issues with our play calling. Specifically the bomb to Plax to start the second half. We were only down 3 at that point and I thought going for the homerun that early was a poor decision. This game had me thinking of the Yankees this season, did not take advantage of opportunities, yet the Giants pulled it out. That's the sign of a stronger team even when you're not playing well. They need to play a lot better next week against Pittsburgh because they're not going to get away with miscues and blown chances against another 5-1 team that they did with the 2-4 9ers. |

Also Plax, as good as he is, is sometimes horrid. He reminds me of Manny Ramirez, amazing talent but at times not the best help. Loved Coughlin's comments in the post-game. It should stay behind closed doors, but he needs to get this head out of his ass, and quickly. |

and I can't believe we're almost halfway done. I didn't see the game but had it on the radio coming back from DC and wow. Recently they'd have found a way to lose that game. I like how they let a bad 3Q go and just jelled in the 4th. The red zone failures, as WFAN persists in calling them ad nauseam are a concern, but I think they were heightened against a similarly talented team. Those didn't concern me so much as that "off" day in Cleveland did. I think Pittsburgh was our first evenly matched opponent and it was good to see us come out on top. Dallas woke up this week, but I still think they're beatable if we treat them as if they are. Should be a good one. On the other hand, [[Peyton Manning|big bro]] looked like he had the life sucked out of him last night. Eli still looks like he's having fun- Peyton not so much.
