Andreas Dräger currently works as a junior group leader and postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Bioinformatics Tuebingen (ZBIT). He was born in Wippra, Saxony-Anhalt, and lived for 20 years in Welfesholz before he started his studies in Bioinformatics at the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. During his studies he lived and worked as an intern in Chicago, Illinois, in the USA as an intern. After completing his university diploma, Andreas Dräger became a PhD student and research assistant at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg in Germany, where he obtained his doctorate degree in 2011. In 2010 he worked as a visiting research student at Keio University in Yokohama, Japan.
