Harper Macleod LLP is a Scottish Law firm with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Thurso & Lerwick.
History
[edit]Harper Macleod was founded in 1988[1] by two partners, Lorne Crerar & Rod McKenzie who spun out the business division of a traditional Glasgow Court firm, Ross Harper Murphy, into a separate commercial practice.
In 2014, the firm took over niche private client practice, Bird Semple [2], to extend its offering in personal legal services. In 2015 they joined with local firm Dowle, Smith & Rutherford[3] to open a new Shetland office based in Lerwick.

[edit]Harper Macleod has five offices across Scotland in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Thurso and Lerwick. [4]
Awards
[edit]Harper Macleod have a long history and association with sports and sports law. Founding Partners Lorne Crerar, Rod Mckenzie both have a pedigree in providing Sport law advice across Rugby, Football, Golf and International competition. Prominent clients include the Scottish Rugby Union, Glasgow Warriors, SPFL, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.
As well as providing legal advice they have also been involved in Sponsoring a number of sportspeople and teams including Samantha Kinghorn[5], Glasgow 2014[6], Glasgow Warriors[7] and 2018 European_Championships[8].
