An active user of encyclopedias, I'm a Wikimedian who enjoys copy editing and information science. I prefer to find well-written, relevant, reliable content online."Educators can use Wikipedia as a way of teaching students to develop hierarchies of credibility that are essential for navigating and conducting research on the Internet."[1] I enjoy helping learners of all ages to acquire new literacies, to distinguish unreliable or irrelevant content, to find their voices and contribute to a larger community.

I've linked to most of my social media footprint through about.me as user KathleenPorter[1]. I post intermittently at AthenæumPlayground.blogspot.com [2]. Here's an early to do list of mine. Use my talk page or email to help me improve, and thanks for contributing. MissKPorter
