Hi,

I am Priyanke de Silva.

Have been on Wikipedia doing minor contributions since 2009.

I am a part-time history (political) researcher and am very concerned about history being re-written... My take on history is 'History happened' - it is neither good nor bad.

I like reading British historical accounts as they tend to 'romanticize' history. The point I am trying to make is that good and bad happened in the past, lets learn from it and go forward. Lets not try to 're-write' history to suit the present (political) agenda.

I am an Old Peterite (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Peter's_College,_Colombo). The motto of my Alma-mater is 'Virtue and Truth' (Virtus Et Veritas {latin}).

Studied from 1972 to 1986 (Grade 1 to A'Levels).

I reside (currently) in Canada.
