Budd, Mary Lou, et al. “Where Are You Going, Little Mouse? (Book Review).” School Library Journal, vol. 32, no. 9, May 1986, p. 78. EBSCOhost[1]

  • This article includes two short reviews on Robert Kraus’s stories, Where are You Going Little Mouse? and How Spider Saved Valentine’s Day. This will help me add more criticism and commentary to building a robust reception section.

"Herman Robert Kraus." Gale Literature: Contemporary Authors, Gale, 2007. Gale Literature Resource Center, link.gale.com/apps/doc/H1000055908/LitRC?u=wash43584&sid=bookmark-LitRC&xid=7d336b4f. Accessed 19 Apr. 2022.[2]

  • This is a useful biographical source on Robert Kraus. It includes more expansive information on his family and his career, in addition to presenting new information about his education and his awards/reception. Also extremely helpful is an entire list of his complete body of work, and this is divided by which projects he was author, illustrator, and publisher for.

Noah, Carolyn. “Come Out and Play, Little Mouse (Book Review).” School Library Journal, vol. 33, no. 8, Apr. 1987, p. 85. EBSCOhost[3]

  • This article is from the same source as the review written by Mary Budd. It is another review of a story by Kraus, this one called Come Out and Play Little Mouse. I think three from the same reviewers should be enough to assess patterns and critique. I might not need all three, but just to create a picture of how this group views his collection of work rather than micro-analyzing only a story or two.

Oliver, M. (2001, Aug 29). Obituaries; robert kraus; cartoonist wrote children's books: [home edition]. Los Angeles Times Retrieved from https://www.proquest.com/newspapers/obituaries-robert-kraus-cartoonist-wrote/docview/421623372/se-2?accountid=11091[4]

  • This is an obituary for Robert Kraus published by the L.A Times. I think this is interesting to see the publicity and influence of his death. The article includes a general overview of who he is (as obituaries do), but it has some niche anecdotes that are really interesting.

Sanders, Jack. "Ridgefield notables: Robert Kraus, New Yorker cartoonist." The Ridgefield Press [Ridgefield [Connecticut]], 19 Oct. 2018, www.theridgefieldpress.com/news/article/Ridgefield-notables-Robert-Kraus-New-Yorker-14535269.php.[5]

  • This article is another obituary. However, it is different because it is from the newspaper where Kraus lived for a long time before he passed. It includes details that pertain to his later life that would be particularly helpful for adding to the wikipedia article. It also includes many quotes from Kraus himself that could be helpful to add or pull information from to better describe him.
