Sarkisian is Cher's father (her given name was Cheryln Sarkisian), and he's noteworthy to anyone who wants to link Cher to her Armenian heritage. He was, by most accounts, not the best father figure, but that doesn't diminish the effect he had on Cher's childhood, and more importantly his role as her connection to Armenia. To this day, Cher speaks Armenian because of him, and her philanthropy to Armenia wouldn't exist if he was not her father. Information on Sarkisian is hard to come by on the web, and the Wikipedia page in question was one of the few resources available. If you could restore the page, I'd really appreciate it. |

Each person has to [[WP:PEOPLE|be notable on their own]]. The article was deleted way back in 2010 for lack of [[WP:RS|sources]] to assert [[WP:N|notability]].
