Notability of Crambone[edit]

A tag has been placed on Crambone, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Please do not remove the tag yourself - add the template {{hangon}} beneath it instead. SamBC 02:32, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not Crambone1984. I actually think that's one of the members of the band that uses that account. I have recreated my own Crambone page, however, and ask that you please not delete it. (although I might deserve it for vandalising your page) I do however have it saved onto a file, so I can put it back up in case someone else deletes it. Again, sorry for making such a harsh username, and for vandalising your article

You need to understand that I don't delete articles because I don't like them or I am pissed off at the person who created them. There are guidelines for what can and cannot be included in Wikipedia. There are millions of bands in the world -- every one obviously doesn't need an article. And some folks make the mistake of thinking that they can use Wikipedia to promote themselves or make themselves seem more legitimate. See WP:BAND for more information about band articles, and if you believe this band fulfills this standard, then create an article that includes the required information, format it correctly and it should be all right. If it doesn't, it's just going to get deleted again, not by me, but by any of the other large number of admins. Also, when you post to talk pages, please sign your name by writing four tildes like this ~~~~ Cheers Dina 12:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
