Phoenix club—claim that MK Dons are one

Hello John, how are you? Happy New Year! I hope you are well. I am just writing to let you know I have just started a discussion relevant to MK Dons at Talk:Phoenix club (association football). Abcmaxx thinks MK Dons should be listed as a "phoenix club" for Wimbledon F.C.. Honestly without wanting to getting into a big argument about this or that or whatever, I just can't help thinking this is original research as I can't find any sources at all using this terminology or anything similar to refer to MK Dons. I asked Abcmaxx to back the claim up with sources and he provided seven or eight links—however not one of them, so far as I can see, makes this claim. I've invited members of WP:FOOTBALL to contribute to the discussion as well but I would be especially grateful if you could find the time to contribute your viewpoint.
