February 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Kallistimusic) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Craig Silvey (producer). Thank you.

February 2011 response[edit]

Hi, i want to change it, not quite sure how. the username is not a reference to any company, Kallisti was taken and i like music so i put them togther but i can understand why this is a problem, how do i change my name? ive looked on the change username page but i cant seem to find the link to the page where i can change it.

Being a new account you can easily just create a new one. If you want to keep the current edit history of this account, then see Wikipedia:Changing username. It has all the information you need, and at the bottom, you would probably click on Simple for a name change. -- Alexf(talk) 21:22, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

okay, so i requested a name change (i would have just deleted this account and started another but i found it easier to just change the account name for some reason). next, how should i go about making Craig Silvey (producer) article less biased? and what specifically is wrong with it now? Danny
