Edits To Harmon Wilfred[edit]

Hello NZ Footballs Conscience,

@Harmon Wilfred: and FreedomtoAssociate want to rewrite the page to bring the content into compliance with WP:Five Pillars guidelines. Would you give us some help?

FreedomtoAssociate (talk) 02:45, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Kia ora FreedomtoAssociate, I haven't looked fully into the article yet myself just saw your comments and that the lede needed a bit of a change. What do you think needs to be changed about it? NZFC(talk) 03:09, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Harmon Wilfred would prefer to see the entire page deleted because of the many factual errors and omissions. He considers it a 'hit piece'. I am new to wikipedia editing, but from what I have learned recently, an Administrator is required to delete or suspend the page.

Can you determine if an Administrator is available with expertise in editing Biographies of Living Persons, especially with controversial content.

FreedomtoAssociate (talk) 04:22, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Two omissions I see first are basic. Harmon's DOB and his military service in the Air Force. [1]

FreedomtoAssociate (talk) 04:26, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

I can't see the page being deleted as it appears it meets notability guidelines and even if it's about Harmon Wilfred, it isn't his page. If anything on the page is untrue or unsourced then please let me know. I have fixed some references and removed a bit that was unsourced. Also if there is information you want added then please let me know as well with reliable sources. Links to Harmon's own website won't be consided reliable. NZFC(talk) 04:33, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Your edits have improved the bias of the presentation. :@Harmon Wilfred: and I appreciate your help as we seek to present you with adequate, cite-able resources to improve the content. Is it necessary to 'cite' Harmon's DOB and military service?

Patriot Front[edit]

Rather than going back and front, I thought I would take the step of attempting to speak reason with you.

First, the "reputable" sources you mention are not, in fact, reputable. They are far-left organizations which constantly misclassify people. The SPLC and the ADL are no more objective or reputable than, say, the Daily Caller or Stephen Crowder.

Second, why would we take someone else's opinion about a group over what that group says about themselves? Why does the SPLC get to define what other groups believe?

Further, aren't the fact that they are white nationalist bad enough? Do they also have to be "neo-nazi", for which I defy you to provide an accurate definition? According to their OWN STATED GOALS AND PRINCIPLES they are one thing - fascist and white nationalist - but not another - neo-nazi or white supremacist. One want to live in a white country without minorities and the other wants to rule over them as masters. There is no evidence of that in their doctrine.

Listen, I'm a fairly normal republican, but this throwing around the word Nazi and Supremacist has got to stop. It is so imprecise.

Kia ora somerightstuff, I think you need to do some reading on policies here on wikipedia. First it has been confirmed a number of times at reliable source noticeboard that SPLC is reliable for describing these organisations. Second we don't use first person sources, meaning we don't care what organisations say about themselves but on what independent reliable secondary sources say they are. In this case SPLC. NZFC(talk) 20:51, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
"I'm a fairly normal republican" Unfortunately, that appears to be the case these days. Beyond My Ken (talk) 23:36, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. Was previously able to edit while logged into my account but since the 2nd August I'm suddenly not even able to edit from this IP even while logged in. The IP address is a work address so is shared with other users but usually that hasn't mattered when I was logged in. NZFC(talk) 23:43, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Decline reason:

That IP address belongs to Scansafe. You'll need to disable your use of this proxy if you wish to edit here. Yamla (talk) 10:50, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.

You emailed me a question. I'd rather respond here if that's okay. Without going into details (in case you consider anything in your email to be confidential), the answer is yes, you'll only be blocked while using scansafe web filtering. If you can't turn that off, you are kind of stuck. You could apply under WP:IPBE, but that's unlikely to be granted (by my understanding), I'm afraid. You are free to edit anywhere that does not use scansafe (which, admittedly, may not be very helpful to you here). --Yamla (talk) 19:31, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Yamla, thanks for taking time to respond. Frustrating but I know it's not Wikipedia fault but my work must have decided to make the change. Guess it means have to work instead of spending more time on here. NZFC(talk) 20:41, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
I'm sorry I didn't have better information. Note that this may also mean your work now has the ability to monitor which websites you visit. --Yamla (talk) 20:52, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 7[edit]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018–19 Wellington Phoenix FC season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ross Allen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

Larry O'Conner"[edit]

Is there anyway you can re-word your Larry O'Connor / Trump edit so that it makes sense? Still do not understand the point it is trying to convey.Wesley Craig (talk) 17:10, 15 August 2018 (UTC)

Kia ora Wesley Craig, I see now adding back in what you overwrote didn't make sense and just doubled up the message. I have self reverted. NZFC(talk) 17:44, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
