Thank you for your edits, however you should know that standard policy is not to replace foreign language articles with machine translations, they are of such poor quality that they are generally worse than if there was no article, a better solution is just to reduce an article to a few lines. Cheers--Jac16888Talk 03:25, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Noted. Thank you for the warm welcome. I appreciate it. Rivkid007 (talk) 04:22, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Lilly Rivlin[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Lilly Rivlin has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The-Pope (talk) 16:18, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Notable Belters[edit]

Hi Rivkid007

I'd like to remove the section 'Notable Belters' in the article on Belt (music). Since you added it I thought I'd discuss with you first. As you've seen, I raised on the article's talk page the issue that there is currently no criteria for what makes a 'Notable Belter' and none of the entries have referenced anywhere to establish their notability as a 'Belter'. Also the section has become a focus for what appears to be any editor's personal 'favourite' belter and editors are just making changes to get their favourite to the top of the list. Do you have a problem if I remove this section and put its content on the article's talk page for further discussion? What I think would be great is if we can put together a list of singers where there are published references to them using 'Belt' that we can cite in the article. Do you have any sources? Knavesdied (talk) 11:44, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

I made the section as I thought it would be useful for people looking for singers who are well known for their belting abilities. Perhaps it would be easier to add those people to a category or something along those lines. I am relatively inexperienced with Wikipedia, so if you think it would be best to move the list to the talk page, you have my support. Thank you, however for consulting me! It was very courteous of you. Rivkid007 (talk) 04:28, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
No problem! I think in the list is a good idea but the issue is that the list isn't referenced or verifiable at all and is just growing and growing. If there was a published list of 'notable belters' or similar then we would have something to source the information from but at the moment the list is effectively 'original research' (i.e., an editor's own opinion). I'll move the content to the talk page so it's not lost and will see if I can find any sources that we can use. Thank you! Knavesdied (talk) 10:20, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
