Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

Request reason:

I do intend on using and improving Wikipedia as intended. I did not realize that I was breaking the `Terms of Use` when I was editing my `user talk` page. I thought that this page was akin to a user profile, so I edited it with a personal website of mine figuring that it was a safe place to practice making a change. Like I said, I was unaware that what I was doing was an offense of any kind, and I am sorry for not fully reading the terms and understanding the purpose of the user page. (I still don't understand, but I will read up on it if I am reinstated). If I am granted permission to edit again, I will make sure that I read through all of the site documentation before I make any changes anywhere. I am sorry for any inconvenience and time that was wasted on my behalf. Please accept my apology. I look forward to hearing back from the administration.
