V. S. Raghavan (director)

V. S. Raghavan was a film director in the 1950s and 1960s who primarily directed Tamil movies. His full name was V. Srinivasa Raghavan, often simply credited as "V.S. Raghavan". He should not be confused with actor V. S. Raghavan.

Raghavan directed films including Kalvanin Kadhali (1955), Sarangadhara (1958), Manimegalai, Chandrika (1950 - Malayalam).

He was also a very proficient sound engineer. He owned the erstwhile Revathi Studios in Kodambakkam, Chennai. Raghavan was very famous among the sound engineer in Indian film industry. He is the first person to do dubbing movie and also only person to have dubbing theatre. He was the first sound engineer in south India.[citation needed]
