Valašská Bystřice (Romanian: Bistriţa Română) is a village and municipality (obec) in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 35.97 square kilometres (13.89 sq mi), and has a population of 2,187.

Valašská Bystřice lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-east of Vsetín, 39 km (24 mi) north-east of Zlín, and 276 km (171 mi) east of Prague.
