Valeria Alejandra Meza Cárdenas[1] (born 8 November 1999) is a Mexican professional football defender who currently plays for Guadalajara (commonly known as Chivas)[2] of the Liga MX Femenil, the first professional women's soccer league in Mexico.[3] She also plays for the Mexico women's national under-20 football team.[4] In 2017, she helped elevate Chivas to the first professional women's soccer championship in the country.[2][5] Chivas won the final in front of a record-breaking 32,466 spectators.[6]
Playing career
Guadalajara, 2017–
Meza began playing for Guadalajara during the inaugural season of Liga MX Femenil.[2] In July 2017, she helped the team win the inaugural Tapatío Women's Classic.[7]
