Walter Hautzig

Walter Hautzig (Hebrew: ולטר האוציג) is a pianist born September 28, 1921, in Vienna, Austria.

Biography

Hautzig studied under Josef Tal and Mieczysław Munz.[1] He has taught master classes to hundreds of students all around the world. He has done tours in Japan over 30 times and has performed for President Jimmy Carter. He was also close friends with Eleanor Roosevelt.

He is the widower of author Esther Rudomin, and he is the father of David Hautzig and Deborah Hautzig.
