Werner Bernhard Franz von Eichstedt (1 January 1896 – 26 August 1944) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Werner von Eichstedt was killed on 26 August 1944 near Kishinev, Moldova during the Jassy–Kishinev Offensive (August 1944).
