Western Pride Football Club is a football (soccer) club based in Ipswich, Queensland. They participate in the NPL Queensland, which was established in 2012 to replace the Queensland State League.[1] The club was founded in 2012 and represents the Greater Ipswich Region and surrounding Western Corridor, the inaugural chair was Kym Wickstein.[2]
Ipswich mayor Paul Pisasale promised in August 2013 to build a 15,000 seat stadium at North Ipswich Oval if a license for the A-league was secured.[3] The club's local popularity could emulate the success to that of Sydney-based club Western Sydney Wanderers.[4] Football Federation Australia has identified Ipswich as an expansion area.[5]

2013 season
Western Pride FC finished eighth in their inaugural season, with 27 points (8 wins and 3 draws) from 22 games.
2014 season
Coach Kasey Wehrman resigned in July 2014 to return home to Norway after two seasons at Ipswich.[6]
