The village has a pub 'the Hack and Spade' however that is the only village amenity apart from a post box. the village is set on several walks http://www.whashton.net/ around the surrounding Yorkshire hills. The local town is Richmond approximately 5 miles away. the village is set only a few miles off the A66.
