"When I Wanted You" is a track from Barry Manilow's 1979 album, One Voice, with music and lyrics written by Gino Cunico. "When I Wanted You" peaked at number twenty on the Billboard Hot 100[1] and spent one week at number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. It was Manilow's tenth number one on the AC chart. It was also recorded previously by Gino Cunico (the song's composer) and the Addrisi Brothers.
