The white-tailed emerald (Elvira chionura) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Costa Rica and Panama. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. With a weight under 3 grams, this is one of the smallest birds in existence.[2]
