Usage[edit]

The {{WikiProject Bangladesh}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

  • attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention; this should be used sparingly.
  • peer-review – "yes" if the article is currently listed on the project's peer review department.
  1. Living people: Bangladeshi people who are still alive.
  2. Deceased people: People from Bangladesh, former East Pakistan or the Bengal region of British India who are now deceased.
  3. Historical events: Any past event which is now over and new image cannot be created for the subject. Also includes destroed buildings / structures.
  4. Current events: Event / activity currently going on. Also includes periodic/occasional events / festivals which still occur in Bangladesh.
  5. Existing Landmarks: Buildings / structures currently in existence. Includes natural landmarks like hills, lakes, rivers etc.
  6. Locality: Geographic / administrative subdivisions and neighbourhoods.
  7. Maps: May be historical or current map.
  8. Flora and Funa: Endengered species or common flora and funa of Bangladesh.
  9. Symbols: Logo / trademark / monogram etc.
  10. Media: Book cover, CD/DVD cover, magazine cover, poster, screenshot etc.
  11. Everyday objects: Includes food items, dress, tools, instruments etc.

Article assessment parameters[edit]

The assessment full syntax is as follows:

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.

  • class – a rating of the article's quality; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Bangladesh/Assessment for more details. Valid values are:
    • FA – The article has reached Featured article status.
    • A – Could be submitted as a Featured article candidate; probably could use some small updates to make it Featured quality.
    • GA – The article has reached Good article status.
    • B – Could be submitted as a Good article nominee; probably could use some updates or may lack some features from the Good article criteria, but it presents a good overview of the subject.
    • C - Better developed in style, structure and quality than Start-Class, but fails one or more of the criteria for B-Class.
    • Start – The article is more than a stub, but may lack some important aspects of the topic's discussion.
    • Stub – The article is a stub; it likely contains one of the Bangladesh stub templates.
    • NA – The page is not an article and should not be rated; it could be a template, image or category, for example.
    • Disambig or Dab – The article is a disambiguation page.
    • Template – The page is a template.
    • Category or Cat – The page is a category.
  • importance – a rating of the article's importance within the WikiProject Bangladesh. Valid values are: Top, High, Mid and Low
