Arch Enemy (band)

The article Arch Enemy (band) currently has a fair use image, Image:Arch Enemy Band Members1.jpg, to represent the band. Since it is a relatively mature article (as in, not a stub), I think we can try to contact them to obtain a free promotional image. -- ReyBrujo 20:32, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Porcupine Tree

People is not happy with the current free image, Image:Porcupine-Tree1.jpg. I will try to contact the band to see if they are willing to offer a free replacement. -- ReyBrujo 17:21, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Napalm Records

I have sent a petition to Napalm Records, requesting free images for the bands currently signed with them. The petition can be found here. -- ReyBrujo 06:33, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

The reply was positive, in fact they allowed us to use all promotional images as free ones with a written permission. Wish it were that easy :-( So, I sent a new mail, here, to clarify even more, and to see if they agree to the standard declaration of consent for all enquiries. Anette Olzon

With all the buzz about Nightwish's new singer, the first two official images come from Ville Juurikkala (www.villeakseli.com). Personally, I don't think they would be willing to release either under a free license (after all, they are the first two official images ever taken), but maybe they have some others that did not look well. Images are really scarce, Flickr hasn't a single one, and a Google images search only shows hits for Tarja Turunen (previous singer), banners and the promotional ones. -- ReyBrujo 04:10, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Le Tigre

I have written to the band asking for cc licences on Image:Le_Tigre_album.jpg Image:Feminist_Sweepstakes.jpg and Image:This_Island.jpg. The band have earlier shown support for CC and released music under a CC licence. Wwwhatsup (talk) 23:17, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
