{{PMID|}} vs. PMID[edit]

Discussion moved from main page (originally found on Wikiproject Molecular and Cellular Biology homepage)

Template for PubMed citations
{{PMID|10336462}} PMID 10336462

There is no need for that. Typing PMID with the code will render automatically as with ISBNs, like this - PMID 1234567890 JFW | T@lk 21:27, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The {{PMID}} template is better because it does not subject the reader to an unexplained abbreviation (PMID) and it provides a link to a wikipedia page that talks about the database being linked to. --JWSchmidt 22:47, 31 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Molecular and Cell Biology Stub Thumbnail[edit]

Don't get me wrong. I don't want to bitch around or offend anyone but this picture in small looks like a bowl of fruits and its not clear at all that its supposed to resemble a cell. I therefore suggest to replace it with a more suitable picture. What do you think? Any suggestions? --Splette Talk 18:23, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GeneWikiGenerator - not working for me[edit]

The link to the GeneWikiGenerator on this page is broken. I was able to find it with google, but was unable to create a page for the gene UNC13A. Am I doing something wrong or am I lacking permission? If it is the latter, can someone with permission create the stub? Both UNC13A and UNC13C are missing, although UNC13B & D each have a page. Thank you. Biolprof (talk) 16:41, 8 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
