Wiseana umbraculatus is a species of moth belonging to the family Hepialidae. It was described by Guenée in 1868, and is endemic to New Zealand.

The wingspan is 38–50 mm for males and 49–66 mm for females. The colour of the varies, but is usually fawn, pinkish fawn or infuscate. The hindwings are pinkish-fawn to yellow-fawn. Adults are on wing from September to April.^[2]

Food plants for the larvae include species of grass.
