The Wurdulac, also spelled wurdalak or verdilak, is a type of Russian vampire that must consume the blood of its loved ones and convert its whole family.[1]

Alexey K. Tolstoy wrote of one such family in The Family of the Vourdalak. The 1963 movie Black Sabbath (movie) has a segment on the Wurdulac.
