Yidnekachew Shimangus (born 12 February 1978) is an Eritrean footballer. He currently plays as a striker for Adulis Club and the Eritrea national football team.

International career

Shimangus has been a regular for the Eritrean national side virtually since inception, and has featured in the 2008 African Nations Cup qualifiers, arguably their most successful campaign to date.

He played in 2 World Cup qualifying matches.[1]
