Yoshiaki Murakami

Yoshiaki Murakami (村上 世彰, Murakami Yoshiaki, born August 11, 1959 in Osaka) is a Japanese investor known for highly publicized corporate raid.[1] He was the founder and the former president of M&A Consulting, Inc., usually known as the "Murakami fund".
He was formerly associated with Livedoor and was indicted [2] in the scandal involving securities law violations.
He was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 3 million yen and a record 1.15 billion yen surcharge for insider trading in 2004 and 2005, but is currently on bail while further appeals are pending.[3]
