Young Guns of Texas is a 1962 CinemaScope DeLuxe Color Western directed by Maury Dexter, starring James Mitchum, Alana Ladd, Jody McCrea and Chill Wills.[1] This movie was filmed in Big Bend National Park, Texas. Saguaro cacti which is seen throughout the film only grow in Arizona. None grow in Big Bend in Texas.
It is known for featuring the offspring of Robert Mitchum, Alan Ladd, Joel McCrea and Chill Wills, the last also appearing in the film.
