"Your Mirror" is a 1991 song by Simply Red. Written by Mick Hucknall, it was featured on the album Stars and reached number 17 on the UK chart when released in 1992.[1]

Content

A reminder that the "red" in Simply Red indicated their political leanings, this song is an extended critique of the then Conservative Government and the Thatcherite politics they were pursuing. The song criticises the perceived selfishness, individualism and nationalism that typified Thatcherism as some people saw it.
