Yuzo Funakoshi (船越 優蔵, Funakoshi Yuzo, born June 12, 1977) is a former Japanese football player. He was a member of the Japanese squad at the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Championship.

Career

During his career, Funakoshi played for Gamba Osaka, Shonan Bellmare, Oita Trinita, Albirex Niigata and Tokyo Verdy. Overall he made well over 150 senior league appearances until a persistent injury forced his early retirement in early 2010. He is currently a coach at Thespakusatsu Gunma.
