Zak George (born December 3, 1978) is an American broadcaster and dog trainer known for presenting shows such as SuperFetch in 2009, various shows on the Animal Planet channel and Who Let the Dogs Out? for UK kids channel CBBC.

Principles

Zak George is a proponent of positive reinforcement training dog training, which teaches that only gentle, reward-based methods, without physical aversion, should be used for dog training. His philosophy: "I began teaching people how to teach their dogs out of a genuine desire to bring the world of dog training into the 21st Century and to show people that through relationship based training anything is possible."[1]

Career

Zak was a Youtube star during the site's early years. He made it to television when he began presenting SuperFetch in 2009. In 2011 and 2012 he presented and produced children's CBBC show Who Let the Dogs Out?.[2] Zak has also presented various programmes for the Animal Planet channel.

Personal life

Zak has three dogs: Venus, Supernova and Alpha Centauri (all of them Border Collies). He used to be a real estate agent before becoming a professional dog trainer.
