Zygaena viciae, the New Forest burnet, is a member of the Zygaenidae family. It is found in southern and central Europe, west to Scotland. It is also found in southern Scandinavia. In the east, the range extends to Lake Baikal.[1]

The wingspan is 22–32 mm. Adults are on wing in July.

The larvae feed on the leaves of Lotus corniculatus and Lathyrus pratensis.
