Christian de Quincey is a speaker on consciousness, spirituality and science at conferences and workshops in the United States and Europe.

De Quincey's writings on consciousness have appeared in a number of popular magazines. He has also written the books Radical Nature: Rediscovering the Soul of Matter, Deep Spirit: In Search of the Noetic Code, and, with Willis Harman, The Scientific Exploration of Consciousness.

De Quincey is a professor of Consciousness Studies at John F. Kennedy University, adjunct faculty at the Union Institute and University, and the Arthur M. Young Professor of Philosophy at the University of Philosophical Research. He also served as adjunct faculty on the University of Arizona's online degree course in consciousness studies and also as a member of advisory committee for the University of Arizona's Center for Consciousness Studies; on the program committee for the University of Arizona's "Spirituality & Healing" conference; and on the program committee for Dublin University's conference on "Cognitive Science."

He is the founder of The Visionary Edge, a media production company and network of media professionals whose stated mission is to "transform global consciousness by transforming mass media." Until recently, he was Managing Editor of Shift magazine (formerly IONS Review), from the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He has worked in marketing and public relations, and prior to that he was a journalist for a number of publications.
