Note to self:

Make posts by first entering "~~~" and hitting preview. Then copy the resulting text into the editor as a template and use ~~~~~ to get the time.

Laziness and hacker ingenuity once again triumph!

The hack is three-fold:

• First, I have the Talk template, which generates the box
• Then I have the date template, which automatically grabs the time and substitutes it in-source.
• Then I have my preferences, where I set my signature to {<nowiki>{User:brtb/t|{{subst:User:brtb/d}}|Text goes here|0}}</nowiki> interpreted as wiki markup Braden (talk) 2015.04.13 06:12 UTC
