I mainly contributed to the Saint Patrick's Battalion article. I have come to realise that — with the exception of a few stand out articles such as Intelligent design — wikipedia will never be a truly reliable source for information. To be honest, it's probably not even a good first point of reference due to rampant bias and poor quality control.
I did some worthwhile things while here; I helped stop zealots who thought that the Ulster banner was still the flag of Northern Ireland, I found out that "libertarian" is just a term that mentally ill people use to self-describe themselves, and discovered that I have extreme disdain for the rantings of Ayn Rand; mainly because the supermen/women who feel affinity for Rand's so called philosophy have yet to accomplish the first step on the road to conquering the world. Namely moving out of their parent's house.
I have since found out that the person who was key in starting and sustaining this project, Jimmy Wales, is an avid follower of Rand. I guess that explains wikipedia's contempt for facts, intelligence, honesty and the embracement of(and by) complete idiots.
