From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The reason I joined Wikipedia is to edit the article on Victoria Woodhull, one of my favorite subjects. I am the webmaster of Victoria -Woodhull.com. Since someone else added an external link to my site, I've come back now and then to see what's been written about her in Wikipedia. I was waiting for someone else to correct mistakes and turn it into an entry worthy of the caliber of Encyclopedia Britannica. While others have made contributions and expanded the article, it is, by no means, complete. It still needs some work, and since no one has stepped up to the plate, I thought I'd add to it, while trying not to duplicate what's on my site. I'm hoping my additions with encourage more contributions.

I also think I should make others aware of my bias on the topic. After Woodhull divorced her second husband Colonel Blood, the Colonel married my great-great grandmother. Blood was the step-father of my mother's grandfather, Frank Fogg. They were also business partners. Together they ran Fogg, Blood & Company. I'm rather fond of Woodhull. If she hadn't divorced Colonel Blood, my family wouldn't have been half as interesting.

As time goes on, I'll read more about the standards for a Wikipedia article. For now, please be patient if I over edit. Believe it or not, I'm actually restraining myself from making some changes. I'm going to the discussion page to try to get other's input before making some of the changes I really want to make. Looking forward to developing with all of you the best possible entries for Victoria Woodhull & Tennessee Claflin. -Woodhull 18:52, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
