ENAs

I've tidied up the page a bit to make it conform with Wikipedia's style guidelines. I've also added a link to the page from the Ena disambiguation page. But you should know that ENAs were already mentioned on that page, and their subsection directs the user to this link: Magnetospheric convection and magnetic storms#Phases of magnetic storms. That linked subsection doesn't exist any more, and the article itself doesn't appear to mention ENAs, but nonetheless you should give that article a read-through to make sure you aren't repeating anything.

EDIT: I've given your refs a cleanup. I don't really have time to explain what I did in detail, but go over it in the edit window and you should get the idea. A few pointers for future reference: article titles are always singular, unless they're describing something that is inherently plural, like the name of a band or a list; article titles should, as a rule, be kept out of subsections; only the first letter of a topic title or a section title should be capitalised, unless it is a proper noun. Also, I would, if I were you, endeavour to locate more sources. This page is at a very vulnerable moment in its evolution. It's new, it doesn't link to any other articles, and it has yet to prove itself in peer review. Find other sources, find some templates to link it to, and get it noticed. Hopefully then it will be safe from deletion.

I've also added a series of redirects which I suggest you look at so you get the idea how to create them. Every new article needs redirects and disambig pages to help people locate it. Hope that helps. :) Serendi^podous 06:43, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

This article looks quite good. Although I am interested in the subject, I don't have enough specific knowledge to give you good advice. The is an Astronomy Project; I skimmed the project page to see if there was a specific mechanism to ask for help–if there is one, I missed it. However, there is a long list of editors involved in the project. The simplest thing to do would be to pick one at random, and post a request on their talk page. If you want to do a little homework, you might look at the contributions of some of the participants, and find one with particular interest in your area of interest. For example, someone narrowing interested in cosmology might not be able to help with the particle physics aspects of the article you've started.

I don't have a Good article to my credit yet, so I'm not the right person to ask about the process, but editors at Project quality task force should be able to help.--SPhilbrickT 18:14, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

User Page for Revision of Aurora (astronomy)

The current Aurora (astronomy) page is very disorganized in the technical aspects of its presentation and contains unreferenced material, some dubious references and some outright incorrect information. One section is clearly speculative and is tagged as such.

I have created a complete revision of these sections and propose to replace the sections entitled Auroral mechanism, Forms and magnetism, Solar wind and the magnetosphere, Frequency of occurrence, Origin, Sources and types and On other planets with my revision found at User talk:Canuck100/Aurora (astronomy). All of my information includes references to credible sources. Because this is a major revision, I would appreciate feedback before I make the change. Canuck100 (talk) 22:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
